Are you struggling to cope with your day-to-day life?

Do you often feel weighed down by feelings of anxiety or depression?

Do you feel that past hurts have interrupted your ability to build meaningful social connections?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then perhaps seeking therapy is right for you.

I know—you saw the word therapy and flinched, didn’t you? Well, let me tell you, therapy is a process that can introduce you to tools to interrupt all those struggles, conflicts, and uncertainties in your life. You have been as strong as you know how to be with everything going on in your life. Now, you can be even more courageous by doing something needed for yourself. So, be proud of yourself for even looking into counseling services, and know that you do not have to do this part alone.

Compassionate Therapy

In our sessions together, I strive to be warm, interactive, respectful, and culturally inclusive as you trust me with the most important person in your life–you. I hope in our sessions you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the current or past experiences that have impacted your life. I also hope you feel supported in gaining the tools to increase the feeling of being fulfilled and empowered in your life and relationships in the safest, most non-judgmental way possible.

My Helping Approach

I practice several different therapy approaches depending on you and your treatment needs. Some of these strategies may include Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Therapies. These approaches and I have worked well together for over 12 years with other clients, and I enjoy tailoring them with you to meet your individual goals.

My treatment specialties are:

  • Stress
  • Life Transitions (i.e., changes in employment, relationships, loss, and family)
  • Mood Issues (i.e., Anxiety, Depression, and Anger)
  • Cultural Identity Issues (i.e., LGBTQ+, BIPOC, etc.)
  • Relationship conflicts and dynamics (i.e., intimacy, romantic partner dynamics, and conflict)
  • Parenting Issues
  • Trauma and Abuse (i.e., PTSD, Adult and Childhood Abuse/Neglect, Intimate Partner Violence, Post-Separation Abuse, and Sexual Violence)

I work with:

  • Adolescents (16 years and older)
